Who is Edward Waite?

Edward Waite is a contemporary British artist known for his vivid 3D textured cityscape artwork and instantly recognisable drizzle technique developed using ketchup bottles in a New York diner. Born in 1989 and educated in Fine Art at the University of Lincoln he only found his creative voice after two years travelling the world documenting cities cultures and chaos in sketchbooks filled with raw notes abstract thoughts and street scenes.

Back in the UK those ideas exploded into a full-blown career. Inspired by the energy of global city skylines he visited, Edward’s work paints urban life in full technicolour fast layered and always in motion. His colourful cityscape paintings feature global landmarks from the Eiffel Tower to Tower Bridge rendered in thick expressive lines of paint that bring each structure to life.
