Nicky Litchfield’s love of animals began in early childhood, prompted by frequent stays at her grandparent’s farm. Traditional subject matter such as hares, foxes and livestock still form the heart of her paintings and with a playful use of line and colour she produces delightful, contemporary artworks full of character and charm.

Nicky creates mainly in pastel and now paints from her studio in the picturesque village of Hurst Green in the Ribble Valley, where she can often be found out and about sketching with her companion, Max the dog, by her side.
