Colourcodia is a collection of 366 artworks from new artist partnership Bernhardt & Cooper that celebrates the metaphysical power of colour and reveals your birthday colour and more.
Michele Bernhardt is a renowned practitioner of the intuitive arts, astrologer, numerologist and author of the best selling book Colorstrology, What Your Birthday Color Says About You. Raised in a family tradition of learning, going back countless generations – daughter of a respected Theosophist, granddaughter of a Russian mystic, Michele discovered her gift of intuition at a young age. Michele brings the essence of an ancient body of wisdom into modern times, expressing it in plain, and practical terms while infusing it with light and humor. Practicing a multi-disciplinary approach to the intuitive arts, employing a synthesis of meditation, relaxation, astrology, and numerology, as well as sound and color therapies, her unique gifts are regularly sought out by celebrities, cultural luminaries, and CEOs of Fortune 500 companies.
Jon ‘Cooper’ Davis is a marketing, communications and product designer. His career has spanned multiple industries including music, books, education and art. His work at global record labels and publishing houses including Sony, BMG and Random House saw him create award winning marketing campaigns and products for stars and celebrities including Alicia Keys, Faithless, Westlife, Simon Cowell, Nigella Lawson and Irvine Welsh. A digital music pioneer, he co-founded the UK’s first music download business in 1999.
Colourcodia comprises a collection of 366 artworks revealing your birthday colour and more. The collection uses a system based on where the sun was when you were born, your ruling planet, the numerological vibration of your birthday and what element it is. Each one of those data points corresponded with a colour, and then Michele intuitively identified colours and a set of attributes for each day of the year.
Setting out to communicate what a date of the year means for an individual in a form where sophistication meets simplicity, each artwork features a personal colour, keyword personality traits, compatible birthdays and the monthly colours. The series is delivered in a contemporary style with a subtle nod to Bauhaus design. Colourcodia is not about your favourite colour, it’s about a colour that will make you feel more balanced at a particular moment in time. The collection is not only appropriate for birthdays, it can also reveal personal colours for significant days.
